What to Expect

The First Session

Our first session is an 'intake session'. It will consist of us getting to know each other, me gathering lots of information about you, your history and your current needs. You get to decide how much of yourself you share at this time and my questions are designed to gain the best overall picture of you as I can. My aim is to have you feel comfortable and supported at all times. With this information I am able to develop an initial treatment plan. The intake session frequently takes 60-90 minutes. 

 

Telehealth Counseling

I am currently exclusively providing therapy via an online telehealth platform.

For some people, and for a variety of reasons, meeting on a secure online video platform is actually the best way to meet. If the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us anything about this option, it is that telehealth is a viable and therapeutic option for many people. Emerging and ongoing research supports this, and the therapy profession is rejoicing in our ability to be more accessible to more people. A private link will be sent to you via email prior to our appointment.
